Our Story

About Oak Grove

Founded on faith and fueled by compassion, Oak Grove Life Center has been a beacon of hope for at-risk children in Central Arkansas since 2008.

Our Beginning

Oak Grove Life Center began as a small Bible study group in a borrowed Sunday school room. A handful of volunteers noticed that children in their neighborhood were spending afternoons unsupervised — vulnerable to the streets, to bad influences, to hopelessness.

What started as an after-school homework club grew into something far greater. Today, OGLC serves hundreds of children each year through summer camps, after-school tutoring, mentorship, and community events — all grounded in the love of Christ.

Our mission remains unchanged: to provide a safe, Christ-centered place where every child is seen, valued, and given the tools to build a brighter future.

What Guides Us

Our Core Values

Christ-Centered Love

Every child is welcomed with unconditional love, rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ. We believe faith is the foundation of healing and growth.

Safety First

Physical, emotional, and spiritual safety are non-negotiable. Every staff member is background-checked and trained in child protection.

Whole-Child Growth

We nurture mind, body, and spirit. Academic support, creative expression, physical activity, and character development go hand in hand.
